In Psychological Types, Carl Jung engages with Lao Tzu and 17th-century Japanese philosopher Nakae Toju in his evaluation of the concept of tao.
Jung’s evaluation of this aspect of Eastern philosophy is prefaced by a bold claim on Jung’s part in section 357:
